Accompanied The Boy to ‘Meet the Teacher’ day today. His first experience with public school. Realized just how far removed from Kindergarten I am. And I’m pretty sure I had nothing like what he’ll experience. But a communications nugget was that everytime one of the teachers addressed any of the kids, they stooped to the kids’ level. It was a nice visual image of what every speaker should do — communicate on the same level as their audience. Sure, these teachers know more and could stand up and deliver their message as an adult and get away with it, but in order to connect and communicate, it’s not just a nice gesture to get on their level — it’s the best way to exchange a message.Always understand and know how to communicate to your audience.
